The great amber eyes gazed at him unashamed. For the first time, Bowman stopped thinking about his own confusion and attended to the change in her. Sisi would never make such a request, so directly. Something had happened to her.
'Kiss you?' He needed time. 'Why?'
'Because I love you.'
'We're not betrothed.'
'I don't care. Do you care?'
'Close your eyes,' she was saying. 'Then you won't see the scars. The kiss will be just as sweet.'
He closed his eyes. He felt her come into his arms. He felt her lips reach up to his. As they kissed he felt a shiver of delight go through his body, and for a fleeting moment he was aware that he’d never kissed her before, not like this. There was a closeness to it that was both tender and eager. He felt her body press against his, and the feeling of her body was part of the kiss. He held her tight in his arms, and his hands felt the shape of her slender back, and his lips moved against hers, sharing secrets-
I pad out of the room, down the hall, and into the living room. With each step, I shed the remnants of my nightmare, leaving it behind in the dark where it belongs.
Raffe sits on the floor repacking my pack. The morning sun caresses his hair, highlighting strands of mahogany and honey hidden among the black. My shoulder muscles relax, the tension seeping out at the sight of him. He looks up at me, his eyes bluer than ever in the soft light.
We look at each other without saying anything. I wonder what he sees as he watches me standing in the stream of golden light filtering through the windows.
I look away first. My eyes roam the room in an effort to find something else to look at and settle on a row of photos sitting on the fireplace mantel. I wander over there to give myself something to do other than stand awkwardly under his gaze.
Vin leaned forward. “What is it, Elend Venture? Why are you so intent on avoiding your duty?”
"Duty?" Elend asked, leaning toward her, his posture earnest. "Valette, this isn’t duty. This ball … this is fluff and distraction. A waste of time."
"And women?" Vin asked. "Are they a waste too?"
"Women?" Elend asked. "Women are like … thunderstorms. They’re beautiful to look at, and sometimes they’re nice to listen to - but most of the time they’re just plain inconvenient."
Vin felt her jaw drop slightly. Then she noticed the twinkle in his eye, the smile at the edges of his lips, and she found herself smiling as well. “You say these things just to provoke me!”
His smile deepened. “I’m charming that way.” He stood, looking at her fondly. “Ah, Valette. Don’t let them trick you into taking yourself too seriously. It’s not worth the effort. But, I must bid you a good evening. Try not to let months pass between balls you attend in the future.”
Vin smiled. “I’ll think about it.”
"Please do," Elend said, bending down and scooting the tall stack of books off the table and into his arms. He teetered for a moment, then steadied himself and peeked to the side.
"Who knows - maybe one of these days you’ll actually get me to dance."
“Come on,” Jake says. “I’m going to make you tolerate me if it kills me. Or you. Preferably you. But we should get to know each other on some level or else it will be impossible to work on this together.”
“I don’t know; it’s working okay so far. And besides, what about you could I possibly want to know?”
“Try me. I will hold nothing back.”
I decide to shock him into silence.
“Which do you prefer: top or bottom?”
His mouth drops open a little and I go back to my rocks. Mission accomplished.
"We were just saying good night," I hissed at him.
"I may have been dead for the past hundred and fifty years, Susannah," Jesse said, "but that doesn’t mean I don’t know how people say goodnight. And generally, when people say good night, they keep their tongues to themselves."
"Oh my God," I said. I turned away from him, and started heading back toward the house. "Oh my God. He did not just say that."
"Yes, I did just say that." Jesse followed me. "I know what I saw, Susannah."
"You know what you sound like?" I asked him, turning around at the bottomof the steps to the front porch to face him. "You sound like a jealous boyfriend."
"Nombre de Dios. I am not," Jese said with a laugh, "jealous of that_"
"Oh yeah? Then where’s all this hostility coming from? Tad never did anything to you."
"Tad," Jesse said, is a …"

These two <3 (I’ll try and find a visual but Jesse and Suze fanart is painfully lacking)
You guys! First of all, thank you for all the love for our posts, we’re so glad you’re enjoying discovering/appreciating our favorite guy characters from books & TV Series (and maybe movies… Jack from Titanic <3) right, where was I *stops hyperventilating*?
Yes, we’d like to apologize for the lack of posts at the moment, but life/school/work/life/fangirling/life have been in the way and we promise we’ll try and post more regularly.
If you have any suggestions of Book BFs you’d like to see featured, just ask and we’ll see what we can do (you just have to keep in mind that we only post from books we love though, so no divergent/TMI will ever appear here for example :D)
Then he said, « You don’t fancy a spot of rummachen unterhalb der taille, do you? Just for old times’ sake? »
I said, “Dave, how dare you speak to me like that.” And he said, “You know you love it, you cheeky fräulein.” I just walked quickly off. I have my pridenosity.
He caught me up and said, “Stop trying to get off with me.”
I was amazed. “Er, Dave, I think you will find that it was you who asked to rummachen.” “No, it wasn’t.” “Er, yes it was, Dave.” “No, you thrust yourself at me. Because you cannot resist me. It is sad.”
I stopped and looked at him. “Dave, I can resist you. I have an Italian Luuurve God as a boyfriend.” Dave said, “Oh, he is so clearly gay.” “Dave, he is not gay.” “He has a light blue leather coat.” “That does not make him gay; it makes him Italian.”
Dave said, “I rest my case.”
I looked at him. And then he just bent down and looked at me. He has lovely lips and I sort of forgot where I was for a minute. I felt my lips puckering up and… then he pushed me away from him so that I nearly fell over.
He said, “Look, Georgia, stop it, try and control yourself, you are making a fool of yourself.”
I was speechless. What, what??? I didn’t know what to do I was so amazed, so I shoved him quite hard. He looked at me. And then he shoved me quite hard back, and I fell over. I got up and went and shoved him again.
He said, “Look, leave me alone. Your girlfriend will be really cross and get his matching leather handbag out.”

I don’t know, since we decided Joshy was representative of Dave, I couldn’t help but picture these two talking like this, and um, it fits :D
